Making a Personal Inspirations Book

Making a Personal Inspirations Book

It is really nice to have a personal inspirations book that you can take with you anywhere.  The object is to have with youbook stack quotes, scriptures, and personal thoughts that help you along your journey.  Once you have started one, adding to it is easy, and if you are like me, you will find that eventually you will have memorized many of its pages.

The first thing you need to do is find or purchase a small notebook with 50-100 pages. The second step is simple: begin writing down things that really inspire you.  It doesn’t have to be fancy, just things that you enjoy.

You may want to organize your book into several categories or even topics.  In mine, I tried to put quotes/scriptures that were of a similar topic together.  For example:
Joy/Happiness
Relationships
Overcoming adversity
Love/Friendship
Giving
Gratitude
Education
Motherhood

Here is how you could organize it categorically:

Famous Quotes
Scriptures
Personal Thoughts
Inspirational song lyrics

You of course also have the option of not organizing it at all or using a combination of the above ideas.
There was a time in my life that I carried my inspirations book with me everywhere and jotted thoughts down in it very often.  I also read it during times that I was having a difficult day or when I was waiting somewhere.  Because of that, I have memorized several very inspirational quotes, and most of my favorite scriptures.  I am glad that they are there, because they seem to come to my mind often when I really need them.

I like to do a large variety of things including cooking, baking, reading, writing, playing with my little girl, and teaching. One of my very favorite things to do is learn. I have learned a little bit about a broad diversity of things and look forward to incorporating some of them into my writing.
