A beautiful find in Paris, France, these vintage postcards are gems of yesteryear. I went off the beaten path to find unique antiques, which are my passion. In a dusty, Parisian boutique, specializing in vintage books, linens and dishes, I found a curious bureau with thin drawers. Rummaging through the drawers, I found piles of dusty prints. These are the not-so-famous scenes everyone sees of France. If you like the unique, the quiet, the “off-the-beaten-path” French items, this postcard series is for you.
Recently, I read an article about the ballpoint pen being a (maybe not THE cause) for the handwriting skills going down the drain. Honestly, I don’t think we realized how far we’ve gone away from beautiful script until we uncover the handwriting from the previous century. It gives one pause. This postcard has beautiful script written in the French language. It’s a very short note and is a forgotten vintage postcard from long ago. It is a black and white picture of gentleman with a moustache holding a note. The flowers are in color. No date that I can see, however, the front bears a beautiful green 5 c stamp.
